Lifestyle change could be an important part of self care and weight management.

Lifestyle change may force one to set goals. Fear, anxiety, anger and stress; however, may become hurdles along the way.

For example:
* One may  be recovering after a lengthy illness
* One may be recovering after surgery
* One may have just discovered you are at risk for cancer.
* You may be overweight and any more may cost you your life

Assessing Your Weight Health

So you think you need to lose weight?


Before you set goals to do so, you must know your weight health status. Firstly there is a healthy weight and an unhealthy one.

 You can use the tools on this post to assess your weight health status:

1-BMI (Body mass index): 

A  healthy BMI is 18.5-24.9
Underweight is a BMI of less than 18 (You wouldn't be setting weight loss goals)
Overweight is a BMI 0f 25-30
Obese is a BMI over 30

2-Waist circumference (do at home)
