So you think you need to lose weight?


Before you set goals to do so, you must know your weight health status. Firstly there is a healthy weight and an unhealthy one.

 You can use the tools on this post to assess your weight health status:

1-BMI (Body mass index): 

A  healthy BMI is 18.5-24.9
Underweight is a BMI of less than 18 (You wouldn't be setting weight loss goals)
Overweight is a BMI 0f 25-30
Obese is a BMI over 30

2-Waist circumference (do at home)
Do this at home using a tape measure
Women, measure your waist line, along the narrowest part of your torso.
A healthy weight is less than 35 for women

A healthy weight for men is less than 40
