There are many good reasons why weight control should be part of family planning, one is a recent research report.
Based on the study, couples who are thinking of starting a family or are struggling with infertility would do well to include weight control in their plans.
According to the report, when compared with healthy-weight couples, overweight/obese couples have a reduced fecundity. The finding is so even if one partner is overweight.

A drug which would provide a non-surgical way to reduce fat has been successful in treating obese monkeys.
The drug called adipotide works differently to other weight loss medication. The drug chokes off the blood supply that feeds the fat cells and helped monkeys lose weight.
The drug has been studied on obese monkeys who gained weight in the same way as humans.
Researchers say humans are next and they are hopeful that it will work the same with them.
In a study that found moderate alcohol consumption didn't have much effect on fatty liver, researchers found obesity to be a greater risk.
The study involved 44 people. They were instructed to drink every day for three months either:

1 glass of red wine for women
2 glasses of red wine for men

According to a recent study, obese persons are twice as likely and severely obese four times as likely to develop air way complications while under general anaesthesia.

If your waist circumference is unhealthy you are most likely carrying excess belly fat. According to researchers fat on the bum, hips and thighs is better for your health. Whereas belly fat is a risk factor for cardiovascular disease and diabetes, fat on the hips, bum and thighs may protect against them.
Experts agree though, that it is difficult to carry a flat belly with big hips and thighs.
A BMI is a good and approved guide for assessing overall weight health.
At the University of Melbourne in Australia, researchers compared participants on a rapid weight loss diet with those on a gradual weight loss one.
Those on the rapid weight loss diet would lose about 3 pounds per week over a 12 week period Those on the gradual weight loss would lose 1 pound per week over a 36 week period.
The results showed that 78% of participants on the rapid diet met their target, while only 48% of those on the gradual diet did.
If your workout isn't working or if you are disillusioned because you didn't lose the weight after all the exercising, may be its your dietary choices.
Diet and exercise have to be combined for successful weight control. There are no quick fixes.
Calories count and not just carbohydrates; the amount and type of fat consumed are important.
