Obesity is a a major risk factor for non-communicable diseases, but reaserchers say it may be a risk for brain dysfunction.

Researchers have reported that being overweight in later years can lead to poor cognitive performance and dementia.

Two hundred and fifty people age 60-70 participated in the study which looked at the relationship between fat levels and cognitive performance. They had the following assessments:

You decided to make weight control your new year resolution, Congratulations! It is an excellent one.

To guide you for success, here are some things to put on your resolution agenda.

 Assess your weight health and get to know your self. 

Firstly, calculate your body mass index(BMI). Do So Here.

 If your (BMI) is 25 or over, start planning.
 
If your BMI is 24.9 or less, you don't need to lose weight. It doesn't matter what your friends say, what size clothes you wear or what your shape is.
