According to a recent study, those who drank 2 glasses of water before meals lost 15 1/2 pounds after 12 weeks while those on a calorie reduce diet only lost 11 pounds.

Lifestyle change could be an important part of self care and weight management.
Lifestyle change may force one to set goals. Fear, anxiety, anger and stress; however, may become hurdles along the way.
For example: * One may be recovering after a lengthy illness * One may be recovering after surgery * One may have just discovered you are at risk for cancer. * You may be overweight and any more may cost you your life * Your cholesterol is high and you are hypertensive.
At the University of Melbourne in Australia, researchers compared participants on a rapid weight loss diet with those on a gradual weight loss one.
Those on the rapid weight loss diet would lose about 3 pounds per week over a 12 week period Those on the gradual weight loss would lose 1 pound per week over a 36 week period.
The results showed that 78% of participants on the rapid diet met their target, while only 48% of those on the gradual diet did.
